BRIDAL DIARIES ENTRY #5: An Intimate Affair

BRIDAL DIARIES ENTRY #5: An Intimate Affair
This weeks Bridal Entry follows the intimate and romantic journey of Zainab Mohamed who got married this past May.
Our beautiful Hamilton bride met her other half on a dating app, while in post-grad school and was swept off her feet when her soulmate proposed a year later, in a serene area of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
"I don’t think either of us expected online dating to actually work, but here we are! Saad is such a gentle soul and I love the way he cares for his family (especially his little nieces!). We bonded over our similar values, shared ambition, and our love of great food! He has been endlessly supportive throughout our relationship as I finished professional school and started my post-graduate training,'
Our beautiful bride, Zainab, incorporated her Mani Jassal outfit into her intimate and romantic wedding. She wore the Risha 2.0 Top and Cream Hierarchy Skirt with the 'With Love' White Dupatta and Nude Net Dupatta. She took this look from day to night at her reception.

Every bride has their own personal style and vision when it comes to choosing their wedding outfit. Zainab had some special elements that she wanted her outfit to reflect!
"I was looking for an outfit that made me feel like the best version of myself while staying true to my cultural background. I knew I wanted a lehenga with a bit of a modern flair, and Mani Jassal’s pieces were perfect for this."
Zainab and her husband married in their hometown at the Art Gallery of Hamilton.
"We loved its modern style and delicious food, and wanted to pick a venue to show off our city!"
The Cream Hierarchy skirt that is a popular piece in the Mani Jassal showroom is a skirt made up of multiple layers of gold and cream luxurious fabrics that are assembled in a hierarchical composition. The equally stunning Risha 2.0 Top incorporates similar thread and stonework that compliments the skirt! To top off the look, Zainab wanted two lightweight and airy dupattas that added the perfect mount of bling. She chose the Nude Net Dupatta and the "White With Love" dupatta for an over the head look.

"I love the combination of cream and gold – it feels so luxurious and is flattering on so many skin tones, and I knew this was the colour scheme I wanted for my outfit."
When it comes to finding that perfect wedding outfit, it can be very tedious! The multiple store visits and fittings are definitely a hassle, but the end result is always worth it! Zainab describes her struggles with finding her perfect fairytale outfit.
"I think it can be hard to try on outfits when things don’t always fit perfectly and everyone's body is different. It was important for me to keep in mind that after alterations, everything really does look like it was made just for you!"
Mani Jassal pieces were a top choice for Zainab as she had been an avid follower of the brand from the beginning through social media and would definitely be up to date on our collections.
"The Mani Jassal team was incredible through and through! It felt so special to work with a designer who cares about her clients and wants everyone to look their best. The whole team was very accommodating and made dress shopping and alterations such an enjoyable and memorable experience."
The best advice for  a soon-to-be bride, comes from a former bride herself. Zainab suggests taking time to plan out exactly what you want for your wedding and making sure it is the wedding you and your spouse envision.
"Everyone around you will be so excited for the big day, and you can quickly get overwhelmed with other people’s well-intentioned advice and ideas. I think it’s important to know what you want first and foremost, and this goes for your outfit as well. Don’t settle for a look that you aren’t in love with – it’s your day, after all!"
