Lucknowi fabric, originating from the culturally rich city of Lucknow in India, is renowned for its intricate and exquisite craftsmanship. This traditional textile is often associated with the ancient art of Chikankari embroidery, a delicate hand-embroidery technique that involves creating intricate patterns on fine fabrics such as muslin, silk, or cotton. Lucknowi fabric, with its ethereal beauty and timeless charm, reflects the heritage and skilled artistry of the craftsmen who bring forth these pieces of wearable art. You will see anything made of chikankari referred to as Scorpius in our collections because the placement of the metal badla coins are star like.  You will often see the designer juxtapose this traditional fabric with modern silhouettes.
