Designer Bio

Mani Jassal is a Canadian designer who has established herself as a creative force in the fashion industry with her distinctive style. Her  journey embodies a profound appreciation for the interplay of art and culture. Born in Punjab, India, Mani's family relocated to Toronto when she was five years old. Her childhood was marked by her fascination with fashion which transformed into a career that saw her working with many of the industry's biggest names. Mani often referred to as MKJ, earned a degree in Fashion Design from Ryerson University. The launch of her debut collection at her graduate fashion show which illustrated her approach to South Asian attire, immediately set her apart. Based in Toronto, Canada, Mani is a maker and storyteller. She democratizes art, making it accessible to many.

Her genius lies in her textile techniques, which encompass embroidery, beading, embellishments, pleats and appliqué work.

In 2014, she launched “Mani Jassal," a fashion haven that offers clients luxury pieces and collections, personally curated by the designer herself. To date, Mani has unveiled over a dozen collections, each bearing the imprint of her rebellious spirit and fresh perspective. Mani explores various angles, shapes, curves and silhouettes, showcasing her appreciation for digital printing while also embracing her romantic and nostalgic sides. Her collections differ in sensitivity, reflecting the ever-evolving nature of her artistry. Her designs are often a reflection of India’s heritage and her appreciation for her ancestry. What stands out is her originality and her seamless pairing of Eastern and Western influences in her creations. Her pieces often serve as catalysts for dialogue, revealing how fashion and style  evoke powerful statements.

Embracing Individuality

We're all about embracing what makes you unique. Our designs are a canvas for self-expression, a reflection of your inner spirit and personality.

Sustainability

In a fast-paced world, Mani Jassal stands for slow fashion and conscious consumption. Our made-to-order model minimizes waste and ensures quality craftsmanship. By producing locally in Canada, we support artisans and reduce our carbon footprint. Join us in redefining fashion as a force for good, where style meets sustainability and every choice makes a difference..

Empowering Women

We're all about empowering women to own their power and embrace their femininity. Our designs are bold, fierce, and unapologetically feminine, inspiring women to be confident, strong, and unstoppable. At Mani Jassal, we empower women by providing job opportunities for graduates from fashion or creative programs. We believe in investing in the next generation of talent and offering them the platform they need to launch their careers. By supporting and uplifting women in the workforce, we're not only closing the gender gap in the creative industry but also fostering a stronger, more inclusive community within our company.

Fearless Creativity

We're not just following trends; we're setting them. Our designs are avant-garde, cutting-edge, and always ahead of the curve. Because fashion is not about blending in; it's about standing out.
