Part 5 of the Collection Remix is here! We are so excited to share some new 'remixed' pieces. We decided to incorporate pieces from four of our previous collections, Tulum, With Love, Free Spirit and Garden of Desire.
We were able to work with some of our clients and followers to make our vision come true. We wanted to showcase beautiful girls in the GTA wearing Mani Jassal in new and exciting ways. This is proof that all our pieces are so versatile and made for any type of woman.
Tiffany
"My name is Tiffany and I am a social worker by profession. I aspire to become a social entrepreneur and leader. Along with my work, I am passionate about dance and I am part of a competitive Latin dance team in Toronto. I felt empowered and confident during the shoot, despite it being outside of my comfort zone. I was drawn to this opportunity as I love Mani’s contemporary style - it resonates with what I believe a modern woman represents."
Aman & Priya
"Hello! We are Aman and Priya and we’re currently Business students in university. However, our passion has always been fashion and aspire to work in the field one day. We would like to thank Mani and her team for this opportunity because we felt super comfortable and it is a step closer to our vision."
Abha
"An IT professional by day, I tap into my creative outlets by challenging myself to develop recipes from odd scraps in my pantry and creating DIY skincare using Indian Ayurvedic methodologies. I'm a go-getter and aspire to exemplify that beauty and brains can coexist. I hope to be able to give back to the community by shedding light on the importance of financial literacy, especially for youth. Three years ago, I began manifesting my desire to model for Mani, whose work I view as a bridge to my Indian and Western roots. It has been an honour to model for Mani and celebrate female sensuality through carefully crafted silhouettes that pay homage to both my roots AND represent the liberated western woman of today."
Sonia
I am a hopeless romantic who grew up on Bollywood movies thanks to my mom. My friends like to call me « Bollywood Queen » since i’m always busting a ‘thumka’ out of nowhere. I like to live my life that way, free-spirited, i find joy in being true to myself, simplicity, good company, soul food and my car. I was channeling the indian actress in me while modelling for MANI. I’m so grateful for the experience and for meeting the artist herself as I adore her work and vision.
The call for models was a huge success, as we had so many beautiful girls reach out to us to even try on these pieces. From girls with modelling experience, girls with zero modelling experience, girls of all backgrounds and shapes, girls that Mani personally found at her gym! The feedback was incredible and we want to take this time to thank everyone who reached out to us, those who modelled for us and those we would love to work with in the future!
