The Hierarchy Skirt's
The Hierarchy Skirt origin story comes from designer, Mani Jassal's fascination with architecture and her travels. For her first collection she read about the Hierarchical proportions that are used in Mughal and Rajput Architectures. That fascination grew when she took a trip to India where she visited these beautiful monuments in Agra, Jaipur, and Udaipur. Each hierarchical layer on the palaces was different from the other, and the 'Meena Kari' was to die for. She began to apply this method in her skirt construction by experimenting with fabrics that were completely different from one another. She amalgamated all of them to create one beautiful skirt design. Not only is the origin of the Hierarchies from inspiration but it also comes from a lack of resources. The limitation of resources to produce embroidered fabrics in Canada pushed Mani to think outside of the box and utilize and combine fabrics in a way that had not been done before.
The first Hierarchy Mani ever did was from the Udaipur Tea Party collection and it combined beautiful shades of blushes and beiges. In her SS17 Bride collection she introduced the Rosa Hierarchy which was a popular one for brides looking for modernity with a touch of tradition. In Feb 2018 she introduced the Cream Hierarchy, Rose Gold Hierarchy, and the Nyla Hierarchy for brides in the Garden of Desire collection. In September 2018, The Flower Child Hierarchy was launched as a part of the Free Spirit and represented just that. It was fun and unconventional. In September 2019, Mani launched the Ocean Hierarchy which is a more boho option for brides to be, something fresher. Now in 2021, we are back with 3 more beautiful styles of Hierarchy Skirts. With multiple panels of delicate lace, pleated bordering, mirrored tulle and coordinating raw silk layers in hierarchical proportion, this skirt is one for the books.
The Hierarchy skirts give off all the royal, classic, and unique characteristics for those brides who want to mix traditional and modern elements.
